Outstanding Initial Teacher Training for Primary  

We have now completed our recruitment for the September 2017 intake of trainees.

Applications for the September 2018 intake will commence at the end of October 2017


Bromley Schools’ Collegiate, provides a comprehensive ITT programme to help prepare you for your future career as a Primary Teacher.


Partner Schools

The training programme that we offer has been developed with our primary partners and covers teaching for ages 4 to 11. We are currently working with the following schools in Bromley on our primary ITT programme:

  • Valley Primary School
  • Warren Road Primary School
  • Wickham Common Primary School


In addition we work with two groups of school in Lewisham centred on Education Teaching Alliance Lewisham (ETAL) and the Eliot Bank and Gordonbrock Schools federation.


Entry Requirements

Check the entry requirements below before submitting your application. These include:

  • Graduates Will Be Considered With 2.2 Degree Classification or Above
  • GCSE English, Maths, and Science Grade C or Above
  • Pass the two Professional Skills Tests prior to the Start of the Course


Your Training Year

Following completion of your training year, you will be recommended for QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) to the DfE (Department of Education). During the preparation year, trainees:

  • Will Experience Two School Placements During Their Training Year
  • Will Be Assigned a Mentor
  • Attend a Weekly Central Training Programme
  • Have Access to Bromley Schools' Collegiate Gateway Where You Will Upload Evidence to Your Personal Electronic Portfolio
