Bromley Schools' Collegiate are working in partnership with the Impact Teaching School Alliance and the Darrick Wood Teaching School Alliance to offer an NQT appropriate body service.
The appointment of an Appropriate Body is a statutory requirement for the induction period of NQTs and the Appropriate Body makes the final decision as to whether an NQT has met the Teachers’ Standards on the recommendation of the Headteacher/Principal.
Our service is built around the three main responsibilities of administration, quality assurance and supporting & monitoring.
It is the responsibility of schools to ensure that they commit appropriate resources to the induction of NQTs and comply with the Induction regulations.
It is the responsibility of the Appropriate Body to ensure quality of this induction provision through the checking of the quality of the reports, ensuring that the statutory regulations are compiled with and to update the central record with the outcomes of the Induction process.
Our rates for undertaking this work is £160 per NQT registered up to a maximum of £550 per school.
We have moved over to using the NQT Manager online reporting portal, so if you would like to work with us to support your Newly Qualified Teachers through their Induction, please get in touch.

"We have worked with Bromley Schools' Collegiate for a number of years and have been impressed with the level of service, communication and support
we have been offered. Responses to our enquiries are always prompt and
"The Body of support I received this time has been timely,
knowledgeable and very supportive. I cannot recommend highly enough as
the staff are always on the end of the phone or email and have been
amazing in terms of supporting with difficult situations."
"I am currently one of two Senior Vice Principals working at SHS and part of
my remit is to oversee the school’s NQTs working very closely with our
provider’s BSC. I have been in charge of the school’s NQT for three
years and we are proud to boost a 100% pass rate. This very satisfying
success rate is not down to myself and the school alone as we could not
have achieved this level of success without the very professional help
and guidance offered by BSC.
BSC are always on hand to discuss and support the school either through a speedy response to concerns /
issues using e-mail or by simply picking up the phone and being able to
speak to someone. I know that all parties here at SHS are very
appreciative of the support network offered by BSC which in turn has
enable us as a school to present an NQT package that ensures success for
As a school we intend to continue to use BSC to support our future NQTs."
