Offers of places will be made on a definite, conditional or waiting list basis, but the Collegiate reserves the right not to discuss with applicants the reasons for not calling individuals to interview or not offering a place after interview.
Qualified Teacher Status
Trainees are assessed throughout the course. This involves lesson observations; research seminars; 3 written assignments and submission of a portfolio of evidence to demonstrate that all Standards required for Qualified Teacher Status have been met. At the end of the course, trainees are assessed by an external assessor. If successful, they are then recommended for QTS.
From September 2009, selected candidates will be able to gain accreditation towards a Masters degree (30 credits).
Trainees are presented with their certificates at an award ceremony in July. 100% of our trainees gain employment as a teacher following successful completion of the course.
